This is because the coffee plants are grown in the shade in the Western Ghats region, which is a very special place, with a lot of different plants and animals. Karnatakas coffee is special because it is grown this way.
Our coffee grows under a kind of forest with two layers of trees. This helps the coffee cherries ripen slowly and gives our coffee a rich aroma. Our coffee gets to mature slowly and that is what makes the aroma of our coffee so complex and nice.
